Babymoon at Jazz Gunung Bromo Stage Jiwa Jawa Bromo

My pregnancy is 7 months old. Me and my husband went to Kediri to hold a prenatal ceremony. Then we continued to babymoon at Jiwa Jawa Bromo, a resort in Probolinggo near Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, East Java. We visited the resort with my big family and took around 4 hours to drive from Kediri to Probolinggo through toll road.

Jiwa Jawa Resort is well known as the place for holding an annual festival Jazz Gunung Bromo. The best part of this resort is the location and the environment. Situated in Sukapura, Probolinggo, this resort just 5 km away from Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. It’s too close to enjoy the beauty of the legend Mount Bromo. The resort is also surrounded by tropical plants and the building is elegantly furnished with natural colours that give the guests utmost comfort.

At the Jazz Gunung Bromo Stage

The Entrance Area

We fell in love with this resort from the minute we arrived because of the breathtaking scenery of the resort which is surrounded by highland and green plants. The lobby is a separate building with the rooms, while the rooms are divided into some different buildings. The resort has wide area and each building has maximum of 3 floors.

Roomtour

I ordered deluxe rooms with connecting doors to facilitate interaction with our big family. The bedrooms are furnished with natural wooden that pairs perfectly with the green view from the balcony. It doesn’t have AC but the temperature is cold enough, especially in the early morning. It has standard facilities such as coffee/tea maker, wifi, and toiletries.

The Open-air Amphitheater Jazz Gunung Bromo

The iconic area in this resort is the open-air amphitheater, the place of Jazz Gunung Bromo be held annually. The stage has highland background and there is a man statue playing saxophone. Meanwhile, the audience seating is made from structured stones. This amphitheater also has Lord Vishnu that enhanced the beauty of this amphitheater.

Indulge in a serenity staycation

Jiwa Jawa Resort is identical with green plants that surround each space of the buildings that offer a sophisticated look. Even though surrounded by green plants, surprisingly I didn’t find any mosquitoes or insects. Not only offers a tranquil atmosphere, but the resort also offers an indoor playground. My nephew didn’t want to go home because the playground is much fun.

Rehat Bromo/Java Banana Resto

We had dinner at Rehat Bromo/Java Banana Resto. The resto is decorated with colourful umbrellas on the ceiling and traditional shadow puppet display at the corner of the resto. This resto opens not only for the hotel guests but also the public. It offers menus such as Javanese fried rice, Javanese noodle,  etc. Besides Rehat Bromo Resto, there is Roemah Tjokelat Bromo, a café that provides side dishes with chocolate specialty. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to visit the café.

Breakfast with a view

In the morning, we had breakfast with a mountain view at the building across the bedroom building. It offers a western and Asian-style buffet (mostly Asian-style). The menu variance is limited, but it’s okay.

Staying at Jiwa Jawa Bromo is an unforgettable moment for my babymoon and my big family. Thank you Jiwa Jawa Bromo for a wonderful stay, we hope to be back soon!
